That picture shows urban planning solely for the motor car, people don't come into it.

Sorry for my cynicism but in 12 months I suspect you'll be feeling that you were gullible.
Comes of being 75 and heard far too many lies and promises that have gone unfulfilled. 🙄

It'll hardly be less friendly and ressuring than going in to Bethel St police station and talking to a microphone/speaker set in a blank wall with not a human being in sight.
September 28, 2026 at 6:40 AM
Not to mention that bribing politicians is becoming ever more expensive.
September 25, 2026 at 3:01 PM
The paycheque?
September 24, 2026 at 6:21 PM
Not to mention GB News, Nigel Farage, The Daily Mail, The Express ...
September 20, 2026 at 4:54 AM
50 years of incessant propaganda paid for by the wealthy has done its job
September 17, 2026 at 10:55 AM
MI5 and the police investigate left-wingers, Just Stop Oil, Palestine Action etc at the drop of a hat but it takes years and blatant transgressions before they take a look at right wing terrorists. That's two-level policing for you.

See the comment from Monika FBPE above. Neoliberalism is an economic dogma, liberalism isn't.
September 8, 2026 at 9:43 AM
ISTR the Daily Mail and "Hurrah for the Blackshirts!" 🤔
September 6, 2026 at 4:24 AM
Because they're owned by the right?
September 1, 2026 at 5:35 AM
So it goes - promise anything, deliver sod all apart from the odd well publicised sop. Then wonder why the public has so little faith in politicians that they would support Farage, Tommy ten names and the like.
August 27, 2026 at 6:11 AM
Yeah, but think about the profits!
August 25, 2026 at 11:26 AM
Various attempts were made to decentralise England in the 60s then along came Maggie and reversed as much of it as possible.
August 18, 2026 at 8:28 AM
Also an investigation as to how this was allowed to happen and safety procedures to make sure it doesn't happen again - all made Public so we know what's going on, even if it is MI5
August 10, 2026 at 12:45 PM
Silly idea I know, but if there's a skills shortage, how about spending some of the corporate profits drained off as CEO salaries and shareholder dividends on actually training employees?🤪
August 6, 2026 at 9:13 AM
No worries - we'll just introduce water rationing and stand-pipes. Mustn't let looking after the people get in the way of AI growth plans for mega, tax-avoiding corporations.🤬
August 3, 2026 at 5:55 PM
What do the 40% think wealthy donors give money for? Out of the goodness of their hearts?
I've got this wonderful deal on Brooklyn bridge ... 🤣

The glasses need to be obvious so force them to be bright florescent yellow, and obvious at a reasonable distance (say 10m) with a visible LED indicating when they're turned on (maybe even a siren for the sake of the visually impaired)

"The force said it would take any action supported by the evidence." i.e cover it up.
July 29, 2026 at 7:31 AM
So when are Johnson, Gove etc. due in court?
July 29, 2026 at 7:00 AM
Despite his Eton/Oxbridge education Boris (the Liar) Johnson still doesn't know the meaning of the word hypocrisy.
July 21, 2026 at 6:22 PM
As usual, just follow the money.
Funny how I've become massively cynical about professional politicians over the last decade or so.
July 16, 2026 at 8:31 AM
Even if this Government was trustworthy (hah!) and only applied this law when absolutely necessary would you trust any subsequent Government (e.g. Reform 🤢) to do the same?
July 12, 2026 at 6:37 AM
No need to, just broadcast the emails etc. We could all do with a good laugh.
