Times report on BBC investigation into people-smuggling…
Lots of talk of “losing” access to critical information. Rather than Johnson not bothering to secure it. And Farage wanting an even harder Brexit.
The stubborn refusal to face the consequences of our own govt’s stupid choices has become absurd

Nigel Farage, professional politician, demands an election because apparently he's against professional politicians.
He’s got plenty of time to write essays but he never seems to have time to face the public.

For a man who wants to lead the country, he seems remarkably allergic to public scrutiny.

It is inescapable now that many politicians & most of our media judge the severity & seriousness of a crime differently according to the ethnicity of the perpetrator and/or victim. An utterly hideous state of affairs ushered in eagerly by Nigel Farage & Elon Musk. It is very easy to do better.
Comparing coverage of the Belfast and Edinburgh attacks, it seems that if politicians politicise and racialise a crime, then it will get far more attention than a crime that is in itself political and racist but doesn’t serve a political agenda. That’s not a good message

Front page of the Daily Mail screeching headline telling Starmer to go or face a coup. Burnham and his supporters should be asking why papers like the Mail and presumably the rest of them want Starmer gone. My opinion, they want a leadership change to relentlessly push for a GE.

With the re-closure of the Strait of Hormuz I ask once again for everyone to consider the seafarers caught up in this.

They will have just had another rollercoaster of emotions to be once again hit with a crushing disappointment.

Their welfare is as important as anyone’s in this conflict.

Many people fell for the lies and deception from those who promoted leaving the European Union.
It takes courage to admit to being fooled as this man has.

Immigrants are not our enemies

They're not responsible for austerity

The transfer of wealth through privatisation

The erosion of civic liberties

The dismantling of democracy or the concentration of power we're on the wrong end of

THEY'RE BEING BLAMED & PUNISHED BY THOSE WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE

Ten years on from Brexit there are still no rules to prevent lies in election ads.

We’ve tabled amendments to stop election ads like the infamous Brexit bus misleading voters again.

Email your MP and ask them to sponsor them.

It takes 1 minute.

55% probability that Burnham wins in Makerfield according to my current calculations given current polling, and direction of travel for the candidates. Too much of a risk in my opinion but that's not the reality, so.. in my view here's how it will play out. 1/3

Should we have a whip round? Drop a few million quid in his current account. Secretly. And then ask him politely to do his fucking job? Or shall we wait for the donors & disgraced Tories in his ‘top team’ to do it instead?
It has now been 10 weeks and three days since Nigel Farage last turned up to vote in the House of Commons
