Alums of @ncssm-durham.bsky.social mourning the passing of four-term NC governor Jim Hunt, who was the catalyst in founding the school nearly 50 years ago. I finally met him in NYC awhile back and thanked him for dramatically changing the lives of my classmates and me.

When did training start becoming pluralized by adding S? Doesn’t sound natural & is new to English, but consistent with some other gerund that are pluralized (eg trimmings).
