1st SRC game of the season for Aberavon RFC saw a carbon copy of the Rams game - an early yellow card had the Wizards 0-17 down, but Afan rallied with 36 unanswered points to turn it around from 14-17 at HT and seal a 36-17 win over Bridgend. Good to see the grass green again!

The Wizards wrapped up pre-season at Blackheath today. The hosts went 5-0 up before Aberavon RFC led 5-17 at HT. A wild 2nd half saw Blackheath retake the lead, Afan surge back to 19-27, and the hosts pull within 1 pt - before snatching a 31-27 win on the final play.

An early yellow card saw Aberavon RFC fall 0-24 behind to Rams RFC, but the Wizards rallied with 45 unanswered points - scoring 8 tries total - to turn it around from 12-24 at half-time to seal a 52-29 win at the TAG in the Wizards third pre-season game.

Finished this ⬇️ last night. An enjoyable and interesting read but it didn't quite reach the heights of McCloskey's previous three books.

Another tough, dry pitch test at the TAG for Aberavon RFC against London Welsh in the Wizards second pre-season game. In another 3x30min runout, Afan trailed 0-14 after P1 and 14-19 after P2, before a big P3 sealed a 50-19 win (8-3 tries overall).

Good pre-season runout for Aberavon RFC against Clifton RFC on a hard TAG surface today.
A 3x30min format saw the Wizards lead 31-12 after P1 and 43-19 after P2, before Clifton rallied to finish 43-40 (7-6 tries overall).

Finished this ⬇️ last night. Had it as a present. What an incredible book about the Mercury 7 and the Edwards test pilots. I don't know why I hadn't picked up it sooner.

Finished this ⬇️ tonight. A good history of the Rallye Monte-Carlo - easily my favourite WRC event. It has a few minor mistakes, but it’s absolutely worth a read if you love rallying and want to dive into the event's history.

Finished this yesterday ⬇️ By far my favourite book by G (nothing beats an autobiography). A fantastic read that brought back so many memories of watching him race, whether from our sofa or from a roadside in France! 🚴‍♂️

Finished this ⬇️ yesterday. An interesting "diary" like read for when Rory was an MP in Cumbria, and how the rural life there has changed.

First photo of The Artemis II eclipse.

A rare alignment where the Moon slips directly between the Sun and Earth, creating this eclipse.

Just finished this ⬇️. It truly is a fascinating read about the history of some of the world's borders. There are quite a few that are bonkers when you read their backstories. Proper page turner.

If everything continues to be nominal with the countdown, then the real version of this ⬇️ "bad boy" will launch this evening. First time for humans to go around the moon in over fifty years. Godspeed to the crew of Artemis II - Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🌎 🚀 🌕
