Although the successive extreme heat waves took a toll on me, they couldn’t touch these Raspberry Kismet Coneflowers. This is their 3rd year in my garden and only get watered by rain. Long blooming and 🐝 love them! So do I! 🌱 💚 #bloomscrolling

I’ve not been posting as my father died end of January after several illnesses. Grief is hard. Full stop. Was still grieving my sister’s passing. Never did Fall cleanup last year. Trying to find bits of beauty in the garden amongst so much yucky cleanup still to do. Grief is hard.
Scabiosa Butterfly Blue flowers, which are more of a periwinkle color. Pincushion centers with frilly outer petals, thus the Pincushion Flower common name. Lots of Scabiosa’s lower growing greenery is also visible.

After trialing this Coreopsis Golden Needles for Walters Gardens, I was so happy with it, that I purchased 11 of them for my garden beds. Long bloom time Summer into Fall and still going strong in late October! (Zone 7) #SundayYellow 🌱
Single petal golden yellow flowers. Burgundy red color in center radiates outward onto each petal nearest the center. Leaves are green and very thin.
