Just back from 10 days with my son & wife near Mons, Belgium.
Managed some birding, of course.
Highlights - Common Crane, White Stork, Bee Eater, Black Woodpecker, RN Parakeet, Short Toed Creecreeper, Little Owl, Turtle Dove and Red Squirrel

In Dorset first a week's holiday with Mrs W. Couldn't miss the chance of seeing the Red Spotted Bluethroat at Swineham. Very crowded but well worth it for a lifer, superb bird

3 x young Kestrels keeping eyes open for returning parents. Their nest was at the top of this war memorial, some 40/45 feet up.

Last day of our 3 weeks on Cyprus. Not much bird watching as I did promise Mrs W some time together. So not many highlights - Cyprus Wheatear, Cyprus Warbler, Hoopoe, Jay ( African species ).
