An 1800s 528-acre oasis ranch feed by natural springs. Checster Lauck and boyfriend Norris Goff bought it in 1944. German heiress and Vera Krupp bought in 1955. She lived here until she was robbed at gunpoint and her 33.19-carat ring was stolen. Krupp sold the ranch to Howard Hughes in 1967.
