Some entity may be needed to supply overall coordination or oversight to the intelligence bureaucracy but any prospect of this DNI or her clown car of assistants furnishing that oversight is, and always was, a pipe dream.
The National Counterterrorism Center is largely a waste of resources. Better to kill off the DNI altogether rather than have it as a place to house partisan trash like Gorka, Kent and Gabbard.
Sebastian Gorka is seeking to become the next head of the National Counterterrorism Center, a position that would give him broad powers over the country's vast counterterrorism apparatus.
This comes about a month after Joe Kent resigned.
