FWIW: General Washington ordered Benedict Arnold hunted down and executed, but Arnold escaped to England. Arnold's British co-conspirator was captured and hung. Arnold's name and image was subsequently erased, and ALL HIS PROPERTY WAS CONFISCATED! This for all the originalists making up our laws.

Today it is clear. MAGA wasn't the threat, the GOP is the greatest threat. Those that still call themselves Republicans represent a clear and present danger to democratic rule, as oligarchy always has threatened progress to a more equal society.
