Need a big performance today to shut the media up. Just watched a few minutes from The Overlap. What a farce it is. Bottom of the barrel viewing. Not that I blame the City fans on it. Bit of a kobayashi maru being put in those situations where the objective is to gang up with tribalism nonsense.

I find it funny listening to the likes of Jonathan Northcroft on Sky Sports talking about how slow and uncreative City were yesterday. We hit the post and Haaland could have had a hat trick before half time. It slowed down in the second half but why let facts get in the way of a good story eh? #mcfc

This was from Feb last year and I think this season is showing that we are doing this now! It’s what was needed with the players we have and good to see it paying off #mcfc
Just seen this Haaland video on Instagram. It is exactly this for me. We’re set up to get balls into the box now but don’t do it. We don’t have the players for fully controlling football anymore. Play the quicker balls to the forwards and we’ll be better #mcfc

There aren’t a lot of players I’m sad to see leave but genuinely thought something was there. Gutted we couldn’t make it work #mcfc

Seeing a lot of ‘can you play Cherki and Foden in the same team’ questions. For me it’s a yes but not as two number 10s. Think Foden needs to work to establish that right wing position as his own. He showed glimpses today but thought a lot of the issues came from Lewis occupying his spaces

Said it before the game but this would have made a world of difference to this performance. Cherki has given us the spark we needed and Lewis is off the pitch. Easy decision.
I would just go Cherki for Lewis and let Anderson and O’Reilly sit in centre mid with the latter joining attacks. Only thing that concerns me with that is Anderson isn’t a natural DM. Bit of a mess in all cases.

This isn’t rocket science. Rico Lewis is a wasted shirt. He isn’t creative enough and can’t defend. He’s in complete no man’s land for that goal. Not the only culprit as Dias thinks he’s superman but Lewis even sees the man at the back post but doesn’t react. It’s not good enough.

O’Reilly really is some player. To have the energy and athleticism to make that run AND THEN pick out a perfect pass is ridiculously good.

Just doesn’t have a good feel to me. Very light physically in the middle of the pitch and not a lot of creativity. I’m expecting a slow build up with not a lot of end product. Hopefully I’m wrong though 😑

Anyone else had enough of this reactionary punditry? City haven’t properly kicked a ball yet and already I’ve seen that Maresca needs to go, Haaland wants to jump ship and City are going on a baron spell of silverware. This isn’t United post Fergie. People need to grow up.
