Really had a great weekend watching 2 WNBA games live. Started watching the W when Kia Nurse got drafted by the Liberty but never got to attend a game. Really thankful the @tempobasketball.bsky.social made this possible this year for fans like me in the Montreal area.

Loud « boos » in the 4th when rhe Wings were at the free throw line…followed by almost equally loud cheers when they made them. Really fun crowd for this first WNBA game in Montréal
Lots of Paige/Azzi jerseys outside Bell Center in Montreal, quick eyetest clearly outnumbering Tempo colours. Montreal is about the same distance from Toronto and Storrs, CT. Should be an interesting « home » game for the Tempo!

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Stacey playing from a stretcher at some point in this series. She was holding her arm close to her body down the stretch in this game, clearly not 100% on Ottawa’s 1st goal

The only downside of women’s sport growth is I think I just paid more for 2 WNBA games in Montreal than I did for 8 years of CWHL season tickets combined! OK I treated myself to a court-side ticket for one of the games but still amazing to see how the landscape of women’s has changed!
