@ryan-holiday.bsky.social I don’t like at all that you quoted Peter Thiel and sell his book. I don’t think he’s a great example of what Epictetus is speaking on. At all. In fact, he’s shown himself to be a horrid human being that makes more moves to hurt people than help. Knowingly so as well.

Seems to me that all of the manosphere asswipes that “read” Marcus Aurelius only took away that he was an emperor. Because, holy shit, have they missed every point he makes.

I love A Tribe Called Quest, but no one will ever convince me that their discography is better than De La Soul’s. You can put any De La Soul album on and I’d be down. But, sadly, I’d not be as fully there for two of ATCQ’s album. Again, to be clear, I LOVE A Tribe Called Quest.
