Dalamud has some basic sandboxing for power users now! I really just built this for myself so it doesn't have any bells and whistles, but we might pick it up in the future and try to figure out the UX problems that make it difficult to use

Dalamud has some basic sandboxing for power users now! I really just built this for myself so it doesn't have any bells and whistles, but we might pick it up in the future and try to figure out the UX problems that make it difficult to use

Something that is completely foreign to me but seems to be common for older people like my parents is that tech "breaks". Their original Google TV from 4 years ago became unusable (updates, ads? key presses took 20 seconds to react) and they just said it was "broken" and bought a newer one.

Happy pride! I'm gay and weird but I usually don't talk about it a lot. I love seeing other people getting to be gay and weird though, which is a little harder than it should be nowadays, so please support your local lgbt associations if you can, they need it!

This place doesn't have polls, but I would love to do an informal poll for plugin devs around churn. Is bumping your plugin once per major patch (4-5 months) too often for you and is it a big concern?

I think it doesn't matter whether or not the app is vibecoded or not at this point, all of the terminally bsky people get so butthurt about the rest of the site insinuating it and immediately go and block and subpost crying about it, there must be some latent insecurity floating around

Shipping programmable background blur for ImGui in Dalamud this week! It's controllable via a slider in the style editor, and has controls for grain noise, tint and luminosity adjustment (though those are not exposed yet, only for other devs)

This was fun! Turns out we weren't the only ones with this idea but I think we did a good job of it (even though it was pretty short notice again, oops)
