One thing about baseball that i love and hasn’t changed is they are playing crucial games at 1pm in the afternoon on a Wednesday afternoon in September.

I saw George Carlin on Sept 23, 2001. Little edgier than Ben Stiller (no disrespect to Mr. Stiller).
The first film one of our critics saw in theaters after the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, was “Zoolander.” The movie became a flashpoint as the world wrestled with questions about what was funny and when it would be OK to be funny again. nyti.ms/46lnd7q

Watched an oral history of 9/11 with Tom Daschle. He talked about the day starting with John Glenn in his office. Those were the days.

If baseball is a religion in Japan, Koshien is its holiest shrine. Visiting the Koshien Stadium Museum was like walking into a time capsule of baseball devotion: Memorabilia, trophies, and jerseys from over 100 years of Koshien tournaments and Hanshin Tigers history fill the space. Take a look. 🇯🇵 ⚾

I danced with Country Dick Montana on my shoulders at a Beat Farmers show. When I returned him to the stage, he gave me an ice-cold Corona. I couldn’t turn my neck for a week.

2. I worked on the team he led on the Franken recount. One category of rejected ballots that stood out to me in that election where women who had hyphenated or double last names. And guess who women who don’t follow old traditions tend to vote for?
