Did you know you can run escape analysis straight from your IDE?

Go to the “Go Optimization” window, choose “Escape analysis”, pick a scope, and then just click to run it.

The tool lets you analyze a single file or the whole package and choose which message types you want to see.

Robert Griesemer: ergonomic aspects were the major reason for why the Go team finally adopted generic methods in Go 1.27 – they’re inherently useful, even when not called through interfaces.

Mark Freeman explains where the problem with generic interface methods lies in more detail 👇

Also in this release: the stdlib `uuid` and `encoding/json/v2` packages, plus a new `goroutineleak` profile.
