I like radishes. I can always add more later, right? Right?

(Ha, yes, I can)
Ahhhh yes, thyroids, fucking with our lives for shits and giggles. Luckily mine has settled down enough to just need annual confirmation, and I’m sure age-related hormone changes will never change this…

Which site?

I’ve only ever had to get the regular physical bloodwork and luckily have a lab on the way to work where you don’t need appointments (wish they were still in my Dr’s office though), BUT I’m sure I’ll need specialty tests at some point - would be good to get prepared for the silliness!

Ditto. I had chicken pox at an older age (still a kid though) and it was miserable. I would have rather had it from a “party” when I was younger. . . but even better would be not to have to experience it at all. I can’t imagine intentionally inflicting measles on your kid.

“chicken pox parties were a form of vaccination,” right? We also used to intentionally get cowpox to gain some immunity to smallpox, but having seen pictures of that “more mild disease,” I think I’d prefer a shot of a real vaccine, thanks!

What an incredibly odd letter. I hope the article helps turn up some answers for the family!

Correct you are. Even being a good mood I can’t figure that one out.

It’s possible he’s from a background that throws the TP in the trash (some places with bad pipes do this), but I may just be feeling generous today. . . and unless the washroom trash is fairly large, she probably would have noticed the need to empty it more frequently.

Yikes. $5. They should have refunded the full order + a credit (not that she’s likely to want door dash ever again) and advised they were doing a heck of a lot more to address the situation - maybe they couldn’t provide details for legal reasons, but should be doing something more and say so.

Oh, ok, I think I understand your argument a bit better now. Thank you. You have a concern with CBC television production specifically. I am talking about the entire suite of CBC offerings, which includes so much more than Tv shows.
September 14, 2025 at 2:40 AM
Okie dokie artichokie. Again, the CBC is a lot more than TV. I personally place high value on it. You clearly don’t, and that’s ok.

But hey, why don’t you give a few hours of CBC radio channels a shot? That’s the real fun. Also, it’s free to you, taxpayer!

CBC is more than watching tv and their programming on all forums is pretty top notch.

The multiplicity of e-choices is the same problem we faced as a nation valuing its diverse uniqueness in the ‘70s(or 50s,60s,80s,etc.): inundation from the elephant below us, which no longer sleeps.

What, you don’t like a side of Adventure! with your groceries? Choice is, like, an illusion, man.
September 13, 2025 at 10:02 PM
And of course, it’s okay if you don’t know - I get that it’s a pretty heavy question.

You sound like you know the science better than I do. May I ask: forgetting bureaucracy and politics, from a practical standpoint, what would make it easier to pre-empt the need for these kind of searches in future? Like, are there waste management techniques, or is it forensics no matter what?
August 15, 2025 at 1:38 AM
So I’m nerdy and looked into it - solid waste collection records are destroyed after 7 years in Wpg. Although maybe they held them given previous search attempt?

Regardless, I hope these searches give families some closure (and really hope no one else is in that dump too, how terrible).
August 14, 2025 at 5:33 PM
They’re prob very different searches. They have to figure out which sections to search based on records, which from a decade ago might be hard to find, if they still exist (gov’t records are usually retained only for a set time, depending on content). Plus depth, type of stuff to dig through, etc.

I am definitely interested in watching the momderdome. They both wear their dresses whilst momderdoming, yes?
August 11, 2025 at 2:47 AM
Yep, I think of some of the other places I’ve lived or had friends live and I imagine it’s going to be a banner year for whoever sells walking casts in the city.

Also, remind not to get you mad at me. Your curses are a thing of subtle yet frustrating beauty.
July 25, 2025 at 5:42 PM
I’m just grateful I’m right next to a main route. Stop near home is a longer walk (but old stop was 1/2 block away, so…), but more frequent buses. On the plus side, they put a stop less than a block from my office, so homeward is slightly better. I hear no one else had near as much luck!

I’ve paid a small fortune for local strawberries this year. And will continue to do so. Lady ahead of me in line bought $500 (Canadian) worth so she can freeze them and never buy American again. F**k your blueberries indeed.
July 14, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Oh man, the ones that make you think you’re awake are the worst! I sometimes get them multiple in a row (like 5x fake wake-ups). Like reality these days isn’t surreal enough, do we need the possibility it’s a literal nightmare too?
June 8, 2025 at 4:16 PM
I will forever hear her jaw clicking on that banana in my nightmares.
March 11, 2025 at 7:30 PM
I find the concept of eating a banana in bed slightly ominous. Imagine waking up to an errant peel nestled gently next to your head. Blargh.
