One of the things I love about Ted Lasso is how pro-book it is. Obviously I love soccer and the wholesome progressive nature of the show, but something that is easy to overlook is how many characters are constantly reading. Makes me happy. #booksinmedia #TedLasso

I was in transit myself on 9/11, on my way to my big sister’s graduation from basic training. I’m very excited to explore this unique story of solidarity in the face of tragedy with the Waco Civic Theater #comefromaway

After three separate attempts, I finally got @caitlinrozakis.bsky.social to sign my book! The plus side being that I got to chat with her a bit and she is a lovely person! #alaac26

Talked about my original graphic novel/manga organizational schema at ALA and it was a hit! Lots of great engagement and that kept me talking well after it was over. Thanks to all who attended! #alaac26

I’ll be talking about my Graphic Novel/Manga classification schema tomorrow at ALA’s Annual Conference in Chicago! Very excited! #alaac26 #librarian

Unfortunately, mine was NOT one of the stories that placed in @writersworkout.bsky.social Fiction Potluck competition. While it’s personally disappointing, it was still cool to be a finalist, and I gotta say, the winning stories are pretty great! Check them out! www.writersworkout.net/potluck

I mentioned days ago that I’m a finalist for @writersworkout.bsky.social Fiction Potluck competition and now there’s proof! I got my bio in late, but they were very cool about accommodating me 😅
Find out if I placed on June 19th! Fingers crossed!

Happy to have nominated @drkendracoulter.bsky.social for the #ursulakleguinprizeforfiction ! For my money, The Tortoise's Tale is almost certainly the single best book I read last year, and I do NOT mind saying so. Check out the review here if you're so inclined!

Like so many other millennials, I grew up on Reading Rainbow. I’m so excited to hear that it’s been picked up for 24 episodes with @mychal3ts.bsky.social as host! When I met him, he was just a cool guy standing in line! #readingrainbow #libraryjoy

I may be “trying to be an author,” but I’m succeeding at being a librarian!
I’ll be presenting a session titled “Classifying Graphic Novels: A Proposed Original Schema” at TLA’s 2026 Annual Conference in Houston!
Find me in room 352A on Monday, March 30 at 10am. See ya there! #TXLA26

My first short story, “In the Beginning, God CREATED,” has been published in the Winter 2026 issue of Kreatif Magazine! It is free to read in browser at the link below and PDF. You can also purchase a print copy for $22. I hope this is only the first of many to come!

I’m sure more experienced writers will laugh knowingly at me, but man, I just re-read a story I wrote that I remember finishing and thinking was hot garbage. It’s great! What was I thinking? So I’m submitting it to a few places 🙂

With my first short story being published some time later this month, I certainly don’t quite feel like a writer yet. I’ve got another short story finished, one shelved for the moment, and one that I just finished drafting. Maybe when I get a second story published I’ll feel like a “writer.”

My first ever short story is set to be published soon… it’s a very small step, but I am pretty damned excited! Details to come.

It’s the kind of week where just making it to Friday was enough. I think that’s okay. I’m gonna do good work today and let myself enjoy this Friday.

Throwback to that time I met @amalelmohtar.com at #TXLA
She thought my bow tie was very sharp and that the girls hair behind me was very cool (which it was) and I shall remember it always.

So I made this to have social media accounts to include with writing submissions but I don’t really know how to social media so we’ll see how this goes
