I loved reading the latest book by @bethallisonbarr.bsky.social ! It parallels my own experience as a missionary “staff wife” with a parachurch organization. I also love the cover art’s shout out to this Star Wars poster! So clever!

So often women take on almost all the mental & physical load of childcare, but marriage books tell them, “Your husband needs your best time and energy. The marriage has to come first.”

She’s in this impossible situation where small humans rely on her for everything, but her husband needs her more!

One of the things that bugs me is when people reject women in leadership based on "the plain reading of Scripture."

We all bring biases into reading Scripture--including those who don't think women should be in leadership!
