Red Light Therapy (photobiomodulation) uses low levels of red and near-infrared light to help the skin. The light is between 620 and 850 nanometers, safe and unlikely to cause sunburn or skin damage. The mitochondria of cells absorb the light, and the energy it produces is also increased.
