Squirrel Lady - Squirrel who seems to know everyone she works with but no one can remember her. Panel 1 Setting - Nate's desk at the office. August has approached Nate with a problem. August: Nate, you're sociable. Could you help me with something? Nate: YES! Panel 2 Setting - Outside the employee break room. The squirrel lady is inside the break room eating peanut butter from a jar that says "AW, NUTS". August: She knows me but I don't remember her. Could you get her name for me? Nate: On it! Panel 3 Nate goes inside the break room to talk to the squirrel lady. August just awkwardly stands outside the room. Panel 4 Nate returns with what he's learned. Nate: Yeah, she knows me and asked about my sick uncle. I don't remember her and didn't get her name. She invited me to a potluck.

CRASH - Gator Days Characters Gustopher - Alligator Son August - Alligator Dad Mewbert and Nougat - Pet Cats Panel 1 Setting - Gustopher's room at his desk. Gustopher is drawing something at his desk when he hears a loud crash. Mewbert jumps up at the sound with all her fur sticking out and back arched. Panel 2 Setting - The kitchen Gustopher has run to the kitchen to see what is wrong with Mewbert right behind him. August is standing dejectedly while looking down. Gustopher: DAD! What happened? Are there burglars? August: No. Panel 3 Gustopher excitedly tries to figure out what's going on. Gustopher: Did something explode? Did a car crash? Did the toilet- August interrupts before Gustopher finished. August: I dropped dinner. Panel 4 Gustopher looks down and only just notices the lasagna spread all over the floor and a broken casserole dish. Mewbert is by his feet staring at the wasted food and Nougat is doing the same by August. Gustopher: Oh... This is worse than I imagined. August: Yeah.

Ms. Mercow - Manatee - An older neighbor Panel 1 Polly is standing by a fence and is telling Gustopher and Olivia a story. The top of a head can barely be seen behind the fence. Polly: CAREFUL! The Great Witch of Cedarhold lives here! Panel 2 Polly makes a frightening face. Polly: A kid broke her shed window so she turned him into a worm. Then she turned his parents into birds. And then- Panel 3 Before Polly can finish, the person behind the fence has made herself known. She looks over the top of the fence. Ms. Mercow: Oh my... Gustopher: THE WITCH! Olivia: RUN! Panel 4 Polly suddenly feels embarrassed about making up such a scary story and apologizes. Polly: I'm sorry, Ms. Mercow. Ms. Mercow: I always wanted to be a witch. Tell them I'll take their bones if they hurt my hydrangeas.

The blanket is blue with stars on it and a ringed green planet. Gustopher has a question that leaves August surprised. Gustopher: Dad, can I get a different spare blanket for my bed? August: But you've had that one forever. Panel 2 Gustopher holds up his blanket and looks at it. Gustopher: Yeah, but it's small and thin. I barely use it. Panel 3 August takes the blanket from Gustopher. His glasses reflect the light in a way that makes his eyes impossible to see and his expression hard to make out. August: Okay, we should have a newer one in the hall closet. Gustopher: Thanks, Dad. Panel 4 August's eyes start to water his expression turns sad. August: He's growing too fast.

Panel 1 Setting - By a conference room in an office. Larry is looking at his phone in the background. He seems to be getting a call from a lawyer. Stuart notices this and asks Squirrel Lady about it. Stuart: What's up with Larry Squirrel Lady: His divorce is getting messy. Panel 2 Stuart maintains his usual perpetual grin and speaks bluntly about the situation. Squirrel Lady tries to handle it more delicately. Stuart: Sounds like he needs a talk about keeping a professional presence. Squirrel Lady: He's having a rough time. Panel 3 Stuart tries to dismiss any concerns with a strained wink and starts walking off. Stuart: He needs to leave his problems at home like the rest of us. Squirrel Lady: But, Sir. Overpass - Gator Days Characters Gustopher - Alligator Boy Panel 1 Setting - An overpass at sunset. Gustopher at an overpass watching the traffic go by underneath. The setting sun has brought out the shadows around him. Gustopher (thinking): There's a lot of cars down there. Panel 2 Down below are several cars going by. Gustopher contemplates the amount of people around him. Light shines through the windows of the surrounding buildings. Gustopher (thinking): Lots of people I don't know. All with their own lives. Panel 3 Gustopher rests his arms on the overpass guardrail. The light behind him is starting to fade away as the stars are coming out. Gustopher (thinking): We're all in one spot for a moment. Then we're not. Panel 4 The sun has set the and the sky is filled with stars. Gustopher has left the overpass and it is now empty.
