It was a loooong night - but ultimately we were able to show some real strength by preventing a clean FISA reauthorization that fails to protect Americans’ privacy. They were only able to get a very short extension that runs until the end of April.

Honest question: What would someone have to do, in your eyes, to make amends for coming around after making the wrong political choice?
e.g. Fleeing MAGA, Recovering neo-nazi, raised White Nationalist but recently learned better, etc.

Stupid things I've done due to pain meds in the past 24 hours:
-send an email about an event a week early
-wander around outside without a coat with a bucket of ash with no idea where it goes
-fall asleep with an open can of Seltzer in my hand

Honestly, a pretty good visualization of one million.
Millions of people marched. Millions. We hear that number a lot, even billion, so it doesn't sound as big as it should. That's a *lot* of people. Do you know, say, 100 people? A million is ten thousand times that many. Want to count to a million one per second? It'll take 11 days.
