Please submit your small ideas for fixing Britain to the Small-Ideas.org website. It’s a new charitable initiative I’ve set up to try and make sure life’s potholes don’t get ignored. Working with two charities and a cross party panel to turn your ideas into policy then try and make it happen.

Sagal Abdi-Wali came to the UK aged 7 having fled the war in Somalia with her family.

She has thrived.

Leader of Camden council and now the MP for Holborn and St Pancras.

A narrative that runs counter to all we are told about refugees.

Congratulations

Breaking: we're losing nature faster than ever before.

But it’s not too late to change course.

The solutions exist. Now we need meaningful action from leaders to turn things around.

We're delighted to be part of this exciting project!

Saltmarshes do so much. They support wildlife - from migrating birds to natterjack toad - lock away carbon, and benefit coastal communities.🌿

Gathering new data is a key step in understanding these habitats so we can protect and champion them.
Carbon tracking tower put on Caerlaverock saltmarsh
It will track how much carbon is being taken out of the atmosphere by the saltmarsh on the Solway Firth.

Yet its important you understand why as it doesn’t mean it’s bad to fix. In fact right now if you’re on the Price Cap (unless you’re on prepay) you should be able to get a cheap fix (do compare), pay less straight away and prevent the predicted price hikes.

UK rates are likely to rise. If you’ve got spare cash should you save or overpay a mortgage? If you do overpay for the big savings ensure it reduces what you owe, not lengthen the term.
