I remember thinking, in 1968 when I was 8 years old, "What is Ho Chi Minh going to do, get in a canoe and paddle across the Pacific Ocean?"

And yet he was elected twice because Dems didn't bother to show up at the polls. Will there be a meaningful reversal of that?

Trump is happy to burn US economy and leadership, not to mention national security interests, to the ground for bribes and insider trading. Those who can need to open their imaginations to what is actually happening to us/US. It's only an "approach to governing" in the service of pure corruption.

All those "NA" in Inverness County (Cheticamp, Margaree, Mabou) showing no electricity for near 36 hours now. Windward-of-the-Highlands Ingo got the brunt in Northern Cape Breton, and the roads appear to be open there. 9* in Pleasant Bay this morning.

It's a good thing I stopped buying things in 1991.

Wars or trade, "Blunderbuss" is a euphemism for a bribe/shakedown set-up. No group is more familiar w trump's corruption than the NYC business community. Self-pardon coming. Maybe Hakeem Jeffries has heard something about it.

Bessent needs to resign, even without a pardon. His dishonor will remain forever, among many others.

We did it to ourselves, electing loony, criminal Trump twice. Canadians are smart and proud, and will do what they need to protect themselves from this insane corruption. Will America save ourselves? We'll know in 78 days.

Bribes top the list. 1-10. Bribes are the list.
August 20, 2026 at 4:11 PM
The only information trump knows is that he has opportunities for bribes/scams without regard for what happens to the US or it's citizens. He's busting out the country.

Trying to imagine how/why taking that job makes sense to that person.

GW looking physically fit. For all his faults, he knew when to retreat as a general and peacefully transfer power as a president.

Thank you Wes Moore. "This we'll defend."

This is quite literally/admittedly what he/they asked for. Reaction formation? What is the US coming to when a creepy white guy (takes one to know one) can't have a mail-order bride?

Who decided it was a good idea to use the Qatari airplane to begin with? Is it correct to infer that the Secret Service is no longer making operational security decisions for the president etc?

Big business now. Beaucoup dinero all around. There are other ways to have fun. Come to Brooklyn. Cyclones game by the Parachute Jump. Rec league game in Prospect Park.

There is a failure of imagination at large here. Trump is motivated by bribes. It's that simple. He is selling out the US and the world for more or less petty bribes. Every day there is a new bribe and the behavior will never stop. He is that simple.
