Is it ok to celebrate now?
Technically they’re right *there*. He didn’t play the ball. But he certainly tried to and the laws say that’s enough.

Basically Martinez has to leave Haaland unmarked and mark Enzo instead even though Enzo’s offside.
September 13, 2026 at 5:01 PM
Bingo. Enzo’s offside. Haaland doesn’t have to be.

Haaland might be level but Enzo isn’t and he’s interfered.

But Enzo is influencing play.

I think Timber might play against Ipswich but hopefully just off the bench (just to keep him sharp). Guess it depends who’s fit (heard Dixon was injured and I think I’d rather see Salmon play CB tbh).

I do think that’s a coaching opportunity for the manager. And we know he’s a far better coach of players than he gets credit for a lot of the time, especially of attackers.

He was the coach responsible for coaxing more goals out of Sterling ffs. I trust him to do that with any player.

I like Rambo a lot. I like a lot of our lads. I’m really happy to see AMN thriving at Everton. And in hindsight it probably was pretty harsh on him but it was the right decision for *us* and I trust the manager to make those tough calls.

Hey, we all get stuff wrong. He’s a decent keeper, but he’s been declining imho. 2 years ago he was genuinely a world class keeper, but he’s not that now and I can’t see him getting back to that level. Maybe I’m wrong about that and we’ll see him find his feet but I sure hope not.

Yeah, I agree with this. Saka at times could be making better decisions as could Eze. I do wonder if them both coming back late for preseason is a factor.

In the end we’re top of the table and CXXX now need to win a tough derby game to stay level with us. That’s a great place to be.

They’re also shipping goals at the other end. I think Havertz (to his credit) made a few decisions like that yesterday and Odegaard is making *all* the right decisions lately. Saka at times has made poor ones but gets into those positions enough that he inevitably makes the right one.

Agreed but sometimes you can’t impose your game and just have to take what’s there. You can’t blame Eze for not helping us control the game if we all know that’s not his forte. In the end 2-0 seems a pretty accurate scoreline, it’s a tough game and we (famously) only drew there last year
September 12, 2026 at 10:11 PM
He was but Eze couldn’t take two touches there and the shot is probably easier on his left than the pass is.
September 12, 2026 at 8:51 PM
He thought he was going to kill the game there.
September 12, 2026 at 8:48 PM
Now desperate to claim a deflection for a corner when it clearly went straight out. Does he need his eyes checked?
