Brainwashing by white evangelical churches. I was taught from a very early age that you vote republican no matter what. That you can't be a "true christian" otherwise.

I love this line. My kids watch this movie all the time. If it's not on, the soundtrack is usually going.

Yes, this. An evangelical church we attended did not consider Catholics to be christian. One of the many things that led us to stop attending.
