250 years ago today, on September 6, 1776, the Maryland Constitutional Convention passed a bill to divide Frederick County into three units. This act officially chartered Montgomery County, sharing its birth year with the United States itself. Happy Birthday, MoCo!

@jasonxbergman.com and I are on opposing sides in this debate. I rarely DNF a book, but if it's *really* bad, I say life's too short to make myself miserable on purpose.
Should You Be Ashamed to Put Down a Book You Don’t Enjoy? (Gift Article)
Is it shameful, or sensible, to put down a book you don’t enjoy? Three little letters, and social media, have turbocharged a longstanding debate.

A certain English major married a certain Philosophy & Religious Studies major, and together they raised a soon-to-be History major. Everyone's doing pretty well. @jasonxbergman.com
Traditional liberal arts majors struggle to find their first job. Once they do, they adapt very well to our rapidly changing job market and have rewarding careers.
“The intriguing findings: Grads who majored in the social sciences and humanities are proving to be resilient in today’s job market because they gained skills that can be used across multiple industries.”

English majors! We’re up! 🙌🏾
