One of my childhood memories was a trip to DC when I was 5. I remember the Smithsonian and the giant pendulum, and I remember walking under the cherry trees in the rain. So beautiful. Sorrow isn’t a strong enough word to describe the pain I feel knowing they have been illegally destroyed.

I hope it’s clear to everyone who cares about the survival of our democracy that we need massive turnout and landslide margins to counteract the lies and cries of fraud that are coming after the midterm vote.

Ever since I got locked out of my threads account I have worked hard on my algorithm here. Now my feed is full of paintings and cute cats and coming here is a solace to my soul.

I steamed 2 artichokes the way my mother taught me, and devoured them with a creamy vinaigrette with a touch of curry for a change. I’m now having the most interesting apple, it taste like the best apple juice with lime squeezed all over it. Love eating from the farmers market.

What’s good for the goose is NOT apparently good for the gander - as one 🍊man can take the Fifth and another is held in contempt. What is contemptuous is the Senate and this farcical hearing.

Really, Apple? The problem isn’t the Constitution ”making politics worse”, it’s MAGA that is making *everything* worse, including attacking the Constitution, which is, frankly, unAmerican.

Uber is spending so much money virtue signaling they now offer women drivers when it’s their own lack of screening and accountability and repercussions for their drivers assaulting passengers.

Fox Corporation is buying Roku for $22 billion. Roku sits in more than 100 million global streaming households. Fox owns Fox News, Tubi, and NFL and MLB broadcast rights. Fox now controls the hardware in your living room, the platform you use to access it, and your viewing data. Follow the money.

The National Parks, from where this money originated using admission fees, could have used this huge sum in a much more impactful way, sich as infrastructure improvements, staffing, & resource management for the benefit of Americans and guests.
The President said it’d be the most beautiful reflecting pool anyone's ever seen. $14 million later, it turned green with algae in days.

Americans need lower costs, not expensive distractions and misplaced priorities.

My Kuma has been gone a few weeks now and it’s been so hard. My friends urged me to adopt another cat immediately, so I did. He reminds me of Kuma sometimes but he’s more fearless and very glued to my side, 7-8 months old, a Russian Blue 💙 Meet Otis 💙

Made a rice cooker version of lap yuk clay pot with fresh shitakes. I might have to get more mushrooms and make another pot, pure comfort food.
