Thought y'all would get a kick out of this as I did.

A while back I shared that I snagged a ton of Bootlegger beard stuff from Fable, after I discovered it smells like the bachata room at my favorite dance place. Oak Barrel whiskey, candied lemon, burnt sugar.

I was recently at a Social Lingo language exchange party, events where language learners can mingle and connect with people who speak their target language or help those who are learning what they're fluent in.

I was working with one of my coding students today when we came across a code snippet in the Python textbook I'm teaching him with that used a pizza as an example of a data structure.

Thought I'd share this story, which came up when I jumped into an online conversation started by a young lady who was left traumatized after screwing up a recital performance.

A couple months ago, I decided against doing the "force myself to do one fun thing a day for a week around my birthday" thing that I've done for the last couple years as a means of keeping my spirits up given the baggage that comes with the day.

To kick off the birthday festivities, here they are! As I recently shared, I snagged a ton of stuff from Fable during the summer clearance, including a near complete set of products from the Bootlegger line.

I once got the cops called on me for being blind in public.

As I mentioned the other day, I'm really not doing well at the moment, haven't been doing well for a while, and probably won't be doing well any time soon. That being said, I've had an interaction bouncing around in my head lately that I've been clinging to.

I recently got the news that a young person in my life passed away. This is the first time since I was in high school that I've lost someone who was that young, not being much older than that myself at the time.

Happy 2nd birthday to Starstroller! As the first large-scale production I wrote and produced, this song will always have a special place in my heart.

I did a thing! This was hands-down the hardest song I've ever written.

Always feel like sharing this little critter whenever medical happenings are afoot. This little duck was knitted for me by my friend Tiff shortly before she lost the ability to do much work with her hands.

On the opposite end of the spectrum from my fancy new braille display are these things. These are like the pencil and paper of the braille world. The pointed styluses are used to punch holes into paper using the slate frame as a guide.

Came across this photo today, which I forgot I had. This was taken at NAMM ten years back or so. I was checking out some gear at the Nord booth, when my brother spots Stevie Wonder walking by.

For the first time in what feels like ages, something life-changing has happened to me that's actually good!!!

I was recently chatting with a friend over lunch about some memories I've been reflecting on as I work on my next song, and this story came up.

There have most definitely been negative dance experiences out in the wild that can be attributed to my blindness, from awkward moments to downright discrimination.

“Your lab results are normal.” Always music to a survivor’s ears, so insert happy dance here! There might be a million things wrong with me at the moment, but cancer is again not one of them!

On the heels of my synesthesia post the other day, I thought I'd share an occasionally more fun aspect of the visual side of my blind brain.
June 7, 2026 at 2:28 AM
My synesthesia is wonderful and beautiful and so many good things, but then it can also be this, from the dream diaries of a neurotic cancer survivor brain.

I recently got to return to a restaurant where I ever-so-closely managed to avoid a blindy disaster. This was a place I went to often, and I've gotten to know some of the people there. Or at least I thought I did. (*Names changed to protect the innocent.)

As a blind content creator, anything that helps me do my work independently is welcome. On the other hand, it is the sad reality that tools often change seemingly overnight, making them inaccessible or hard to use. Sometimes, both things can be true.

I was recently chatting with my brother about the first time he and I went on the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios.

ON the heels of my post the other day about having my ukulele strap described to me in a way that I have no visual/mental reference for, I've been thinking of one of my favorite instances of this sort of situation.
