thanks for asking! in my beautiful mind palace, Baxter is the most annoying, cynical, full-of-himself trans man to exist and he has a massive superiority complex over the fact that he lived stealth in the early 20th century without ever being found out, and anyone who tries to tell me he's cis is either lying or mistaken. :D

Q: "What about intersex headcanons? Are those allowed?"
as a person who is trans and nonbinary but not intersex, it’s not my place to make rules about intersex characters/stories/headcanons. at any rate, I'm not going to be going through and determining if your headcanons are "trans enough" to qualify in this event and this includes litigating fiction that features intersex people and their experiences. I recommend using your best judgement on this.

Q: "Why is dark/"dead dove" content allowed?"
similarly to the NSFW answer, for many trans+ people, unpleasant experiences are things that happen to them and may be something that they want to explore in a safe, fictional space. you are not required to deal with these topics, nor are you required to look at the works that do contain them, but they are a part of many trans people's lives and they have a place here.

Q: "Why is NSFW allowed?"
for many trans+ people, sex and kink are natural and happy parts of life. to ban those things from an event that I'm running with the express purpose of creating more works featuring trans lives and trans bodies and trans experiences would feel disingenuous. you are not required to create things that feature NSFW scenarios, but they are unequivocally welcome in this event.

Q: "Can I participate in this event if I'm not trans+?"
I am not interested in forcing people to out themselves or disclose their gender identity to me in order to participate in a fandom prompt week. while I encourage cisgender people to tread carefully, I'm not going to be cross-checking participants' gender identities.

Q: "Do I need a "reason" to headcanon a character as trans+?"
the only "reason" you need is a desire for them to be trans+. that's it! you don't have to write an essay on why you think they're trans+ (though you're welcome to if you'd like) and this event strictly prohibits making people feel bad for their headcanons. "they're trans+ because I want them to be" is as much explanation as anyone should ever need.

Q: "Does a character have to be canonically trans+ to be included in this event?"
nope! there's only one explicitly, canonically trans character in the Hellaverse right now, anyway, and if I wanted to run a Sallie May event, I would have done that instead. :P any character of any canonical gender is welcome in this event.

Q: "What do you mean when you say trans+?"
transgender, nonbinary, genderqueer, genderfluid, agender, demigender, the list goes on! there's a lot of identities that fall under the trans umbrella and typing trans+ is a lot easier (and conserves character spaces a lot better) than listing them all out. mostly, I just don't want people to think that this event is limited to binary trans people who start as one gender and then transition entirely to another. those interpretations are welcome but others are also encouraged!

the current timeframe is for the event to take place in January 2027! I know this is pretty far out, but the next four months are going to be super busy for me (and probably a lot of other people, too) so I wanted to give myself breathing room. plus, it means more time to work on your creations! :D
