Very interesting, and good to know. I hope that learning about this leads to understanding, and understanding to acceptance.
“Intersex” is the “I” in LGBTQIA.

Learned a lot, watching this.

Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state.

A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface.

And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).

HOLY SHIT DUDES

fucking with the environment is now not just a sin (which Francis also said), it is classed as a direct fuck-you to God

and a central tenet of the reasoning is the need to care for "our common home," i.e. you are morally obligated to think about the other people who also live here

The more than 29,000 word text calls for ecological conversion due to “sin against creation and the Creator.”

They specifically want books before 2022 because they are uncorrupted by AI. They need books that have not been poisoned by the poison they are making. It's just like pre-war steel. They invented cultural radiation.
No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions.

Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.
AI labs buy, scan, shred millions of rare books
If you have retreated to physical books because the internet is too full of AI slop, bad news — now they’re shredding the books to feed their AI slop machines.

Nobody disputes that having access to a car in a car-dominated society is good. It gives one access to jobs, healthcare, food, education, social opportunities and more. All we're asking is for people to go one step deeper and ask why access to such basic rights requires buying and operating a car.
I grew up in Jackson Heights in Queens and we still had a car, and our lives got measurably better when we did.

as usual. it was a collision with a motor vehicle that was turning right, not just a "crash"

and given that the kids were apparently speeding on the sidewalk, it seems likely that the vehicle didn't stop when and where the driver is legally required to, which is frustratingly normal around here.
