The feds could help by Not building more world killing bitumen pipelines. Canada is doing fine. Alberta is already richer than most other provinces. Leave the bitumen in the ground, the climate isn't going to get any better so long as we're exporting and burning that toxic shit

Cool piece of history dropped out of the river bank this morning. According to coin expert Gemini, this coin is in Very Fine (VF-20 to VF-30) condition. The dike was built in the 60s and 70s, so it probably fell out of someone's pocket and became dike fill, until today. Still needs cleaning.

The ringleader got 5 years (out in 2 yrs), his accomplices got 2 yrs and will likely be released with time served. This is unacceptable. These terrorists should rot in prison for a couple of decades, at least. Canada is too easy on these types of criminals.

Facebook is directly responsible for Donald Trump, directly responsible for Albexit, directly responsible for the extreme social and political polarization. Facebook, X and a few others should be banned in Canada. We should not be importing American Disfunctionalism.

I am watching this show only for the second time since it was released in 2015. What an excellent show. It is in some ways more relevant and timely today that it was when it was released more than a decade ago. Recommended. (on Netflix)

I wonder how well the U.S. government would be functioning if the top 20+ American lawmakers were suddenly slaughtered in less than 48 hours. Wikipedia only lists the first 18 lawmakers in the Presidential Line Of Succession. Number 19 might be the White House Gardener for all I know.

I hope this is overly dramatic, but it is a strange feeling to know that there is a very good chance that modern civilization as we know it will be coming to a fiery end later this evening.
