Software engineer building solo. Practical AI, coding agents & useful software. Interested in how small products get built, tested, and used.

Hi, I'm Nino. I'm a software engineer interested in useful software, practical AI, and thoughtful product design.

I'm here to exchange ideas about building software that's simpler to use and maintain. What are you building or learning?
I built a native macOS app that helps developers manage their local development environment in one place.

Before shipping an AI built feature, try the whole user flow once with an empty account.

The happy path with your own test data can hide a lot.

What catches more problems for you: reviewing the diff or using the app like a new user?

Looking to meet more people who care about useful software, practical AI, and small independent products.

I'm Nino, an engineer building solo alongside a day job. If those are your interests too, let's connect 👋

100k input tokens on GPT 6.1 Sol:

Uncached: $0.20
Cached: $0.01

OpenAI's standard API rates. Full cache hit assumed. Output and tool charges excluded.

Cheaper model or better cache hit rate?

A useful check for an AI bug fix:

Run the new regression test against the old code. It should fail for the right reason.

Then run it against the fix. It should pass.

A green test suite alone can miss a test that never exercised the bug.

I've been quietly building something for the tiny tasks that interrupt a day.

Not everything needs to be smart. Some boring things should just be simple, fast, and in one place.

It started small. It isn't anymore. Any guesses?
