What about this song? It’s a pretty wild song to dance to, even if it’s like if Dancing On My Own was a diss track:

And yes, I know there were other factors influencing his drop-off, like the incident with the HFPA president and his divorce. In any case, he, like Stiller, has shown so much growth and evolution in recent years. I don’t think we’ll see another Furry Vengeance from Brendan anytime soon.

Brendan Fraser is another one on the Stiller side. He took his time away and worked on smaller projects, and came back once saw how much support and nostalgia fans had for him and his work. And when he came back, he showcased a more heartfelt, evolved side to his acting. It even won him an Oscar.

Though, speaking of nepo-babies of film people who do music (on the side in this case), I wonder what would happen if HER music career ever really takes off. Would it be better or worse than Gracie?

Considering one of the most memorable lines in any of her father’s projects is “Somehow Palpatine Returned”, anything Gracie writes would likely be a lot more real by comparison.
Side note: I’m not sure if JJ himself wrote that line, but even still.

Remember what you said about Tate McRae feeling like a rival pop star in a show about another pop star? I guess Abrams fits in that category too. Only, the show didn’t develop her or give her as much of a backstory other than nepotism. And she doesn’t have the personality to back it up beyond that.

Considering the fact that most people probably don’t know a second Lee Greenwood song without pulling Wikipedia up, I still wonder if he counts as a one-hit wonder. I mean, he’s based his entire identity as a performer off his National Jingoism Anthem, which I think is also his only major chart hit.

I compare Jax to #rocketraccoon, although more as the path not taken for Rocket. Rocket came to terms with where he came from, improved on himself, and became a strong leader. Jax doubled down on his/her insecurities and self-imploded by pushing people who could’ve helped him/her when needed away.

At least it wasn’t Lizzo’s latest album.

Sad thing is: with all the mixed reviews this movie is getting, incels and right-wing grifters are naturally going to blame Alcock as the problem with the movie… despite so many reviews I’ve seen saying that she’s the best thing in it, and it’s the writing and such that’s the problem.

First off… aren’t “wife-guys” technically called “husbands”?
Second, who else is pretty much expecting Alex Warren to end up like this in the near future?

The fact that she’s practically three for three with her albums is pretty wild! Also, of the artists who’ve won the Best New Artist Grammy in the 2020’s, it’s safe to say that the first three (Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, and Olivia) have all successfully evaded the #bestnewartistcurse!

If this and How Not To Drown by CHVRCHES goes to show you, having Robert Smith as a featured vocalist on your song brings a lot of magic out!
June 13, 2026 at 4:29 AM
Isn’t she technically a one-hit wonder (at least in the US)? I honestly don’t even know a single other song she’s done besides Paper Planes, even if she appears to have a number of other hits in the UK.

You said in your TrainWreckords that the one thing TUMIM didn’t have that The Heist did was a Can’t Hold Us-like track. You said the closest was Brad Pitt’s Cousin, but I’d argue it’s Dance Off. I mean sure, it has a lot of the self-deprecating stuff as Thrift Shop, but you could still jam out to it

Plus, Spielberg has won two Oscars for Best Director (for Schindler’s List and Saving Private Ryan) and has been nominated 7 other times (along with multiple Best Picture nominations). The Donald… won a Razzie for playing himself in Ghosts Can’t Do It. And yes, that’s a real movie starring Bo Derek.

Speaking of singers who probably would agree to do something like this (as this person has done a fair share of MAGA-leaning events), do you think Lee Greenwood counts as a one-hit wonder? He seems to have other hits on the country charts, but God Bless The USA seems to be his only Hot 100 hit.

Well, at least Timberlake has some marginal acting chops. I think there’s a reason Mendes’ acting career never took off after this.

They already did a better version of this with Better Man, that Robbie Williams biopic where he was portrayed as a CGI chimpanzee. Yes, for those who don’t know, that’s a real movie too.

Or they were tired of continually saying that Kid Rock was the only decently “big” artist they could get. That or they listened to Nicki MinaJ’s music once she switched to their side and realized that wouldn’t work for this whole thing.

What’s funny is, Drake often brags about how many #1’s he has compared to Michael Jackson. Yet if you go up to most people on the street and ask them to name 10 (or in some cases, even 5) Drake songs, how many do you think would name many of them?

I saw 30STM twice, both times playing right before UK alt/rock bands (Arctic Monkeys and Muse). 30STM themselves were okay both times (this was before Tomo left and they really went off the deep end), but both of the acts that followed blew them FAR out of the water.

The worst live act I’ve EVER seen was when DJ Khaled opened for Beyonce. He mostly jumped around shouting his name and catchphrases, and maybe only got on the tables like once or twice. The good news is that I saw an awesome Beyonce show right after that nonsense.
