I am sick and laid up on the couch. My cat, Loki, is laying on my chest. He wants me to believe that he is concerned for me, that he is nursing me back to health. But I know he is just waiting for me to die so that he can eat my face. I love him so much.

I had started Brother by Ania Ahlborn last night, but finished it today. It was solid. I am usually able to see the twist from a mile away, but this time it took me by surprise.

I can't sleep so I'm laying in bed & staring up through my blinds at the full moon. I have suncatcher stickers on my window & the moonlight is making them sparkle.
(Yes my room is actually lit up purple because I am 42 and still afraid of the dark, so I use a bat-shaped led lamp as a nightlight.)
