i realize this is definitely a me problem but whenever i see someone say "oh i just couldn't get through episodes 1 and 2. i really had to force myself to keep going" my first thought is weak. second thought is are you straight? and third thought is you will not make it through s2

and i do hate how much any tlg critical statements get soured by gross comments about rr. i have many issues with the book but above everything else, i don't think writing a book poorly is a moral failure.

ilya is a lot of things, some good some bad, but i would never describe him as "emotionally mature" he's just barely learning how to be in an adult relationship (familial, friend and romantic) in TLG. i believe he'll get there but i would not describe him that way now
