Composition is a single flower stalk against a blurry green and gold backbgound. There is a nearly vertical twig advancing from the bottom to the top of the image on the right hand side. Tiny mushroom.

Common in Central Texas, Prickly Pear blooms are a sure sign of Spring.

Mountain Laurel seed pods.

Follow up from previous post of Mountain Laurel bloom. I chose to render this in monochrome because the contrast and texture appeal to me. The color version is also nice.
