I watched a performance of 100 Brilliant Things at a time in our life when we were both struggling. Things weren't going the way we wanted and it just felt like we were treading water. We started our own 100 Brilliant Things to make us recognize the small joys. We made it to 99 before he died.

In college, Nik screwed up Easy Mac but not following the "Fill to this Line" instructions for the water. At the age of 42, he won a baking competition at his workplace for his Cranberry Pound Cake.
