When I inevitably lose the ol' videogames job I think I'm done with them for good. I've actually got a life now and I'm not following some bullshit RTO mandate that a new studio would inflict on me, only to get laid off months later. Time to become a carpenter or something.

Working in videogames is great. I wake up and see that nobody can afford the computer anymore thanks to AI and wonder how good that is for my job.

Curiosity is quite literally your greatest asset as a human being and you should stay curious forever if you want to get the best experience out of this life.
It was only a few years ago that I learned a lot of people get derailed/mad when they read words they don't know/don't know how to pronounce. When I was growing up I tried to figure out meaning through context and if I couldn't do that, I'd look it up. Never cared about pronunciation while reading.
they are on Threads fighting to the death over whether or not it is ableist for an author to use the word “scrying" (people might not know the definition!). how beautiful. people staring into their phones and getting so emotional over “scrying.” perhaps there really is magic in reflective surfaces!
