Lloyd Robertson was the kind of man who bought ice cream for the crew every Friday without fail. Manners. Kindness. Modesty. He represented those old newsrooms that no longer exist. RIP 1934 - 2026

Blacklock’s Reporter www.blacklocks.ca is 13 years old! When we launched our govt accountability website, Stephen Harper was prime minister and our youngest son (centre - media garden party) was 7 years old. Today that kid reminded me on LinkedIn that it was our anniversary. ❤️

What a hot mess the Online News Act has become.
Failed in its core purpose and now a target in tariff talks.
Very proud that Blacklock’s Reporter www.blacklocks.ca did not take money from Meta or Google. We are 100% subscriber funded. That’s “press freedom.”
