Hiii, I think that the issue is that your vehicle is placed around zero point in blender. When I did mine cars, I have to placed vehicles above zero point in Blender. JMonkey that takes as the center of the mass. Then from that point you have zero space for suspension and thats why your wheels are bugging I think.

Thanks for adding some idea on the implementation. I am curious of your editor, now I am fully into finishing my game, but I might check it out after that! I wish you a successful release!

Thanks for the feedback. Oh, I did not even realize comments were off, let me rectify that. I wanted to make a trailer I could use on shorts and had to quickly create this one. In terms of the 2d look, it is very easy, the camera is positioned looking down the z-axis and I have changed it to be parallel projection. Here is a helper method for accomplishing that: public static void setCameraParallelProjectionDistance(Camera camera, float distance) { float aspect = (float) camera.getWidth() / camera.getHeight(); camera.setFrustum(-1000, 1000, -aspect * distance, aspect * distance, distance, -distance); } Also not, I have years of experience in jME and have created or busy creating this game development editor with it, feel free to check it out: EnvisionPlay by The Giant I have created this full game with it. Happy creating!

I like the game. How did you do this with jMonkey that you made it look like 2D? Also why do you not allow comments under the video? I thought one way to trigger the youtube algorithm is that you need to generate engagements with the video. Can I ask if you have any sales targets? What I really like about your game is that the UI is very nice. That’s one thing that I find very challenging to make. The game looks really good, though I feel the trailer is not very clear on what is the gratification I can get with the progression system.

And apparently, they weren’t working well with Unity’s fbx models and animations, and the retargeter wasn’t transfering finger animations, with the mods I’ve made today, not only does J3 Asset manager now properly import FBX models and animations, it can accurately retarget them to a different skeleton.

I’ve fixed the broken link issue…

The link isn’t working. Page not found. https://github.com/vusivus/J3-Asset-Manager/releases/tag/Version1.0

Oh yes I’ve been able to retarget animations with many plugins, problem was, if the initial pose of source rig was different from the target rig, the animations would be offset badly and not play correctly. Only cascadeur did the job perfectly, but you have to pay a monthly subscription for it. Which is why I made J3 Asset Manager to be a better cascadeur at retargeting animations.

If you need some inspiration feel free to download and look at the source code of this paid plug in: Superhive (formerly Blender Market) ### Mocap Blender Mocap Blender is a blender addon, that allows you to combine multiple motion capture files to a complete new one by blending them together. For example you need the running movement of one animation, the arm movement from another and finally a head... Price: From $39.99 I used it previously for re-targeting animations in blender.

So i decided to release the current version, even though its still under development. By development I mean I’m still to add scene editing features, which will also help me to finish my game quicker. But the version already has some very handy premium features still. J3 Asset Manager is a desktop editor for building jMonkeyEngine game assets. It lets you import and inspect models, configure characters, edit animation and movement, and assemble combat and encounter data from reusable J3 assets. The project also contains a J3 runtime library that loads supported assets in a game. You can download the releases under the TAG at Github

J3 Animation Editor J3 Animation Editor is an upcoming tool, inside J3 Asset Manager, for editing jMonkey Engine Animations. Like the title says, it does a far better job than Rokoko or Cascadeur in retargeting animations, at least for the jme3 work flow. plus, you can still edit animations (remove root motion, resample, knit, reframe, reverse, mirror etc)

J3 Asset Manager Complete Work Flow So this is the latest version of J3 Asset Manager, which has moved away from json meta files to binary meta files, for scriptable assets, generated using the Binary exporter. The version also includes a custom 3D Model format ‘j3model’ which is essentially a j3o without the Anim Composer, with the j3m and compressed textures written into the file. Plus the j3anim file, which is just a j3o with just an anim composer. In this work flow, I show the whole process of importing models and animations, creating inputs, attacks waves etc.

ok, that means, i have to redesign my 3D model. it is time consuming, but i will update when i am free

custard: > Are the docs keeping up to date with the releases… The engine’s documentation unfortunately has fallen behind, so some things may be inaccurate or out of date. We don’t really have anyone dedicated to maintaining the wiki right now. custard: > the files do not seem to be in the examples jar The teapot model should be in the jme-testdata jar, that is where all of the test assets are located. However it does look like the teapot.j3o doesn’t exist in jme3-testdata, and most of the engine examples are instead loading teapot.obj like this example: jmonkeyengine/jme3-examples/src/main/java/jme3test/animation/TestCinematic.java at cf97e77cdd4c33f482abd945c9f7178b9f914ec2 · jMonkeyEngine/jmonkeyengine The tutorials and articles in the wiki are still useful to read through, but I would recommend using the tests and examples from jme3-examples as a better place to reference and copy code from, since those examples are better maintained and more up to date than the engine’s wiki.

Are the docs keeping up to date with the releases… Am doing the Noob crawl through the docs per :- How to Use Materials :: jMonkeyEngine Docs the files do not seem to be in the examples jar Spatial myGeometry = assetManager.loadModel(“Models/Teapot/Teapot.j3o”); Material mat = **new** Material(assetManager, _// Create new material and…_ “Common/MatDefs/Light/Lighting.j3md”);

VehicleControl expects each wheel to be its own geometry. Right now, you’ve got two physical wheels controlling one geometric “wheel”. Also make sure your wheel transforms relative to the car body are correct and your node structure is correct. Asadullah_Monsur: > when mass is zero, wheels comes to one place , when mass is given higher than 0, the gravity makes fall but wheels are still weird. This is expected. JMonkey treats physical objects of mass 0 as static. They don’t respond to physical forces including gravity.

loading a car designed in blender, i have imported it to jmonkey separately , it works on normal import ( like just import a model without physics) , when physics applied according to sample doc, the model behaves weird, when mass is zero, wheels comes to one place , when mass is given higher than 0, the gravity makes fall but wheels are still weird. if you want the blender model, i can attach it later too. kindly anyone check it. i have attached source code and video output user interface (video output) Output or Visual I Get Source Code in GitHub Blender File GLB File

Android release android-release.apk — Яндекс Диск

I’ve done some testing of VR with Tamarin + JME 3.10.0 on both Windows and Linux. Needs @zzuegg’s fix but as long as it has that it works. I’ll put out a Tamarin 3.2 once JME 3.10.0 is official

I didn’t go EGL for everything (for now at least there is still a gap there) but I did finally test it on linux. Beyond VR on Linux _always_ being a nightmare: your update works on Linux. Specifically on this setup: - WiVRn -> Quest 3 - OS: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, kernel 7.0.0-31-generic - Mesa: 26.0.8-1ubuntu0.3 (`mesa-libgallium`, `iris`) - Hybrid GPU setup: - Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (Arrow Lake) integrated graphics — PCI `00:02.0`, driver `i915`/`xe`, `/dev/dri/card2` + `renderD129` — this is the GPU driving the physical display, and the default target for a new GL/EGL/GLX context with no explicit GPU selection - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Mobile — PCI `01:00.0`, proprietary driver 595.91.07, `/dev/dri/card1` + `renderD128` With only one horribly complicated bug report to mesa: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/work_items/16308 (but that is specific to my computer I think)
