by connecting to the jumpbox (secure checkpoint 🔐💂🏾) first,

administrators 🪪🔑 can then access other systems🖥️ within the secure network (datacenter 🏬)

#BlackInCybersecurity

in network 🛜 terms, the jumpbox acts as this secure checkpoint 🔐💂🏾

it is a highly secured and monitored server through which all administrative access🪪🔑to other servers or devices in the network must pass🚶🏾

imagine you have a high-security facility like a datacenter 🏬 that only authorised personnel 🪪 can enter🚪

instead of giving everyone 🚶🏾 direct access to this facility 🏬

you set up a secure checkpoint 🔐💂🏾 where personnel are verified🪪 before they can proceed 🚪🚶🏾
