Our caravan isn't glued to the truck.

It's its own 820 kg body on a ball joint. It sways, so the hitch has a friction stabiliser, and its weight sits just ahead of the axle: nose weight keeps it straight.

Reverse badly and it jackknifes. Gently.

Same hill, two trucks.

Mule: 1450 kg, 2.36 m wheelbase, the tightest turning circle in the garage. It darts up.

Yak: 2500 kg, 116 cm wheels, portal axles, crawler gear twice as low. It walks up. Slowly. Every time.

Team Mule or Team Yak?

8 trucks, real numbers from our physics file.

Lightest: Goat, 1350 kg on 104 cm tyres with locking diffs.
Heaviest: Tortoise, 3 tonnes and 20 cm of travel. Lakesides, not rocks.
Most torque: Yak, 610 Nm at 2800 rpm.

Which one is yours?

Rain or snow?

In Hush Trail the dirt darkens and the ruts fill with water when it rains. In snow the trail goes white and the truck slides a little.

Which one would you drive in?

Two deer live on our website, a stag and a fawn. They wait at the edge of the trail, and when the little truck scrolls close, they hop across in front of it.

The fawn always goes second.

Our new website has a tiny campfire next to the trail. It used to flicker.

In WebKit, that flicker repainted the entire 19,000 px road on every frame: 1.3 s per frame.

The fire holds still now. Scrolling got 14x faster.

Sorry, little fire.

Our Godot game's first load in iPhone Safari took 72 s. Nearly all of it: WebKit compiling ~240 shaders one by one.

Now a worker compiles them in parallel while the game downloads: 22 s, no hitches.
