The Metro Bank one day men’s cricket is so much fun. Lancashire did well against the Outlaws today (with Verreynne making a good effort to parry). Comparison is often a fool’s errand but I do wish the series was promoted as much as e.g. the Hundred.

Obsessed once again with UNYAZI, the haunting album by Jabulile Majola and Yoav. It’s heartfelt Zulu folk and I can’t recommend it enough. NYONI YAMI is so so beautiful it aches.

Watching #vitalityblast #T20 #cricket. Tense last few minutes btwn Notts Outlaws and Yorkshire. The local county feeds are excellent and occasionally delightfully quixotic. The production values of the YouTube live feeds are also first tier (not watching on Sky as I am a frugal jerk, lol).

I can’t believe I missed this film first time round. ‘The Creator’ is beautiful, original, discomforting, and thought provoking. Extraordinary sci-fi. Extraordinary writing & production.

Watched the Brazilian movie ‘Carlinhos e Carlão’ (aka ‘Macho Man’).
A perfect performance by Luis Lobianco as an unhappy troglodyte literally forced into and then out of the closet to turn into a fun and loved alter ego after 7pm.
Funny, sweet, and full of redemption…10/10 would recommend!
