New England-based, unapologetically liberal photographer, writer, art director, and creative ne’erdowell. MAGAts will be blocked. Trolls will be mocked and blocked.
The fun thing about the original RB67 Pro is that it works very well for double exposure. The frustrating thing is that it can be very easy to do unintentionally.

This is a case where I wish I had both the mistake and the intended images.

Taken on the Staten Island Ferry in 1999, I keep coming back these images. They're difficult to print in the darkroom, almost as if the memories don't want to be unlocked.

This was a fun diversion on our way to the next location. We were also chasing sunset *and* my ability to shoot with the RB67, which had Portra 160 loaded. My SL2-S and lights were back at the car, so I metered and hoped for the best.

Let's talk about Ava and her hat. It played its own supporting role in this collaboration.

Another series I'm looking forward to putting out into the world... but this time, it's a return to digital. We'd run out of daylight, so I grabbed the SL2-S for the final location, and it's fun to screw around with LUTs again.

I experimented with double exposures on the RB67 in my last session with Cas. I’ve still got technical details to work out to nail them in future shoots, but there are some real gems from that afternoon.

I should post more of my Maine photography here. If you follow me on IG, you've seen some of it, but I don't share a ton because I have this weird fear of being pigeon-holed as a landscape photographer.

Anyway, these were made on a Voigtlander Bessa I with Portra 160.

Cas and I made so many wonderful photos in this shoot a month ago that I hardly know where to start. It's nice to be collaborating again.

A few more 35mm Cinestill XX favorites of Lydia.

From Idiocracy in DC to this, we've finally proven that the U.S. has no cultural backbone.
My friend: “Did you see that video of Kacey Musgraves performing while seated on disco truck nuts?”

Me: “…what?”

[looks up video]

Me: “You know, I honestly I don’t know what I was expecting.”

I need to stop acquiring cameras, but living in the film world again sometimes means sudden failures of old equipment.

I've never thought about rough drafts in terms of photography until now.

This is a rough draft, and I'm stoked.

Medium format has certainly sparked new ideas for creation.

Stay tuned for more.

When film makes the outtakes better.

Switching to this (with some digital in the mix) is really forcing me to think about all aspects of my workflow, and I love it.

Asking questions about qualifications in the Age of Trumpy Bear is laughable.
How does being Lindsey Graham’s sister qualify someone to be a Senator?

This is such a damn good way of putting it.
Amazing how many people over the last few years have moved from

person I sometimes disagree with, to

person I disagree with who is also unpleasant online, to

genuinely bad person whose soul has warped beyond recognition.

the politics of our times are like a solvent for decency.

Cinestill XX is amazing... and its price just jumped. 🫠

It's a little funny when people come to Maine in June and ask where they can pick blueberries.

It's also a little sad that we start getting them by the Fourth now. When I was growing up, it was three weeks later.

Another tease from my shoot with Lydia last week.

Having minor scanning and conversion issues, but damn... I'm glad to be shooting on film.

Coming back the same way I went on hiatus — with an incredible collaboration with Lydia.
