Something I've realized how social media changed society is that it is no longer good enough to just be a moral person. To be kind to strangers, help your friends ect. Now you need to show you are a good person on a public stage. And now its more important to act like a good person, then to be one.

This might be a bit of a hot take, but if you want to read harry potter, read fucking harry potter. Don't make a mediocre nostalgia book hill to die on for trans rights. Rowling isn't running for office. Buying her book isn't gonna suddenly give her the power to enact her political beliefs.

Something that I realized about the furry fandom, compared to my other hobbies, is that is one of the few fandoms I go to, with the express purpose of community. And this has significantly warped my view of the space in general.

I think something I realized for quite a bit, especially when I passed on the switch 2.

I really don't care about any Nintendo IP except Zelda anymore. Its just why play a game on a switch when I can play on PC. And why buy a game for nostalgia when there is plenty of nostalgia bait also on steam.

feel very envious of creative people, successful or inspiring. You need to have ideas strong or compelling enough worth exploring, talent enough to execute on those ideas, and most important the confidence to put those ideas out there for the world.
