Solidarity is a strategy. Not because antisemitism is identical to every oppression, but because fascist movements themselves do not separate them cleanly. They build integrated worldviews in which hatred of Jews, Muslims, immigrants, Black people, queer people, and women reinforce one another.

Obviously, casual and structural antisemitism exists without only the insurgent far-right. But the contemporary ecosystem most consistently producing genocidal antisemitic worldviews, conspiracism, and mass-casualty political violence is the fascist right, and they now have power.

By framing it this way, groups like the ADL actually undermine our only ability to build safety, which is through a close defensive alliance (meaning, antifascism) between those communities who are being targeted by an eliminationist far-right.

Which is why the constant attempt to flatten antisemitism into a vague “both sides” problenm, or to portray it as equally rooted in left-wing movements. This simply obscures more than it reveals because it conceals the ideological roots.

When reading the mosque attacker’s manifesto you realize how impossible it is to separate his Islamophobia from his obsessive antisemitism. They are not competing hatreds in the text. They are structurally intertwined in every argument he makes.
