I had a front row seat in the sausage-making of legislation in the Missouri House. I worked together with women to bring a much-needed feminine energy to the political process. Now, I'm taking that same energy to Kansas City Council Dist. 4.
Today we celebrate Dolly Parton! From singing on the radio at 10 to becoming a global superstar, actor, and philanthropist, she broke barriers with grace. MO Supreme Court’s ruling on congressional lines was a win for fairness for KC. A victory for everyone.
We should be proud of The Missouri Plan, our merit-based method for choosing judges that keeps heavy-handed politics out of the courtroom.
Now, I am grateful SCOTUS stood with its decision.
