I can't imagine being so devoid of humanity that the idea of people helping people doesn't make sense unless there are ulterior motives.
Amusingly, some agents infiltrated these meetings and found the protesters to be pretty innocuous. In their reports you find agents admitting no violence was discussed and finding that protesters were churchgoers.
