National Non-Smoking Week is about results. Smoking rates in Canada have stalled at around 11%, putting the <5% by 2035 goal at risk. Canada must focus on what actually helps adult smokers quit—access to legal, regulated cessation tools.

If you can buy cigarettes at a store, you should be able to buy quit-smoking products there too. As CEO Frank Silva puts it: “That’s like saying you can sell beer but not non-alcoholic beer."

180 000 fumeurs ont perdu un accès facile à ZONNIC, plusieurs doivent maintenant parcourir plus de 5 km pour trouver une pharmacie… si elle en vend.

L’Arrêté ministériel doit être revu pour assurer un accès équitable partout, surtout pour le Canada rural.
