What a surprise to learn that a Russian oligarch close to Putin paid for Junior’s lavish wedding. Who could’ve expected it?

One thing that I love about history is that we're constantly finding additional nuance to stories we thought we already understood, and new areas of inquiry which could lead to even more discoveries.
King Harold may have lost England by backing the wrong pope
A forgotten fragment of a lost papal letter is offering a surprising new explanation for the Norman Conquest. England may have backed the wrong pope during a bitter religious power struggle, giving Po...

The self described most transparent administration ever.
“Which specific countries have been in talks with the US about stepping up beef imports?”

Brooke Rollins: “I am not privy to talk about that.”

She’s the Secretary of Agriculture, it’s her job to know this.

This is a tacit admission that tariffs are paid by consumers

That part that amuses me though is the president’s assertion that this 90 day window will all ranchers to “grow their herds” given that the gestation period of a cow is 9 months and 10 days. The herds ain’t growing any larger in 3 months
90 day discount on beef—does nothing to address the problem.

Clown economics.

Well, thank goodness they kept this information to themselves for five years so that he could go on to continue those business practices from the White House.

Great job, Capital One.

This is humiliating. It’s what happens when you slash the budget by firing the people who were actually interested in foreign service work and replace them with MAGA imbeciles who’ve never been bothered by thinking past their front yard.

On the other hand, I get it. I mean, I feel like the last year has been a few thousand years.

Marco Rubio is against birthright citizenship.

But Marco Rubio *is* a birthright citizen.

Ted Cruz is against birthright citizenship.

But Ted Cruz was born in Canada. He only got US citizenship by a birthright citizenship law because of his US mother.

They are both shameless hypocrites.

We’ve all seen the 14 point agreement now. I’ll should be waiting for the howls of dismay from MAGA; but we all know it’s a cult of personality. So they will either be silent (hopefully) or find a way to praise this colossal waste of lives, money, and dignity as some kind of great achievement.

@theresthistory.bsky.social I couldn’t help noticing that while the Athenians were fighting Liberty, Democracy and all that is good it was still their slaves that carried the armor to the battle of Marathon…

Perhaps a bit of victors writing history? Or am I making too much of that?

Now his own defense attorney is endorsing our campaign.
